Making the Climate Change & Health Connection
Climate change is already affecting our health — from extreme heat and air pollution to wildfires, severe weather, infectious disease, and other growing risks.
Health professionals are among the most trusted voices in their communities. MSCCH, a program of Mason 4C, helps physicians and other health professionals use that trust to make the health impacts of climate change clear, relevant, and actionable.
Today, the Consortium organizes major medical societies representing more than 1 million physicians and health professionals around a shared message: climate change harms our health, and climate solutions can make us healthier.
Turning Trust Into Action People & Planet
Mason 4C’s research has long demonstrated the importance of trusted messengers in effective climate communication. MSCCH puts that insight into practice by equipping health professionals with evidence, messages, resources, and opportunities to engage their patients, communities, the media, and decision-makers.
The Consortium focuses its work across three strategic priorities:

Grow and Diversify the Climate Movement
MSCCH brings more health professionals into the climate conversation and works to ensure the health voice reflects the experiences, expertise, and needs of communities nationwide. Programs like the Climate & Health Equity Fellowship (CHEF) help build a more diverse and representative community of health professionals equipped to lead on climate and health.

Foster Collective Action
The Consortium connects and equips health professionals to speak together when and where their voices can make a difference — from public communication and media engagement to conversations with policymakers and community leaders. Through its Climate and Health State Network, MSCCH helps health professionals organize and collaborate at the state level, strengthening their collective voice and impact.

Promote Health and Equity in Climate Policy
A National Network for Climate & Health
By connecting medical societies, health organizations, state-based groups, and individual health professionals, MSCCH is building a powerful national network of trusted voices working toward healthier people, healthier communities, and a safer climate.
