Sophia Whitaker

Communications Manager, Virginia Climate Center

Sophia Whitaker is the Communications Manager for the Virginia Climate Center at George Mason University. Here she interfaces with the public to bring awareness on Virginia’s climate impacts and helps to translate the Virginia Climate Center’s research through formats such as reports, blogs, and social media. Sophia graduated from George Mason University with her master’s degree in climate science and interned with the Center for Climate Change Communication.
