Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives, Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health

A results-driven and innovative leader with extensive experience in organizational and leadership development, operations management, strategic planning, and project execution, Kimberly Williams has a proven record of streamlining processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving organizational growth through strategic initiatives. She is skilled at directing cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In her current role, Kimberly leads strategic initiatives and partnerships, operationalizing functions, fiscal management, and operations for the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health’s Fellowship programs.

At the Consortium, Kimberly collaborates with directors, program managers, associations, and partner organizations to design and implement strategic plans, set performance goals, and shape both short- and long-term operational priorities. She leads several teams, builds and sustains coalitions that create inclusive spaces for shared decision-making and dialogue, ensuring inclusivity and belonging. Her work emphasizes engaging and empowering physicians from historically excluded populations in medicine, as well as health professionals from communities facing disproportionate environmental burdens, to serve as trusted advocates. These efforts aim to expand educational excellence, develop leaders, elevate advocacy, and implement equitable solutions that confront climate and health challenges.
Kimberly played a key role in the design and expansion of several flagship initiatives, including the Climate and Health Equity Fellowship (CHEF), the Policy Experience in Equity, Climate, and Health (PEECH) Fellowship, and the CHEF Alumni Education Network (CAEN). Through these programs, she provides expertise in program design, development, content strategy, and communication.

Prior to joining MSCCH, Kimberly led her own consulting firm, working with organizations such as the National Medical Association, Abbott Laboratories, American University, and Fox News.

She holds a PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University, a Master’s degree in Public Communication from American University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from George Washington University. In addition, she is a certified facilitator in Mental Health First Aid™ and Conflict Resolution, with a strong focus on spiritual and mental wellness.
